On 25th July, during the fieldwork under the LIFE+ project “The Return of the Neophron”, we were notified about large injured bird on the road near Madzharovo. We checked the site immediately and discovered that this is actually an Eagle Owl ( Bubo bubo ) – very weak, with a gash near the ear and heavily invaded by ticks on the head...
