National Species Action Plan for Greece (NSAP)

The Greek National Action Plan for the Egyptian vulture was drafted by the Hellenic Ornithological Society (BirdLife Greece), in collaboration with the project partner WWF-Greece, in the framework of the LIFE+ project. Following stakeholder consultation the National Action Plan was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Energy that adapted and adopted the Plan as Joint Ministerial Decision 43236/1053 published on 25 October 2017. The National Action Plan foresees actions necessary for the conservation of the species in Greece based on the most current knowledge on the Egyptian vulture in Greece and aims to minimize the species threats as these are also described in the Status Report for the species in Greece.
