We found an adult Egyptian Vulture dead

The dead Egyptian Vulture

On Sunday, during an individual feeding of Egyptian Vultures in Eastern Rhodopes, Martin Karadzhov - Associate of BSPB found dead adult Egyptian Vulture. Experts in the field think that death occurred about a week ago. The cause of death has not been established yet. It is a big loss for the Nature because the bird has recently formed a couple and we expected to begin to reproduce next years. Martin Karadzhov is one of the collaborators of LIFE + project "The Return of the Neophron." He feeds four couples in the Eastern Rhodopes and guards their nests.
This is the second incident of bird found dead this year. We remind you that in May we found dead 3 years old Egyptian Vulture in Northeastern Bulgaria.
