Background about the development of the Vulture MsAP can be found here, and Reports of the Regional Workshops here. The CU Raptors MoU, BirdLife International, Vulture Conservation Foundation and the IUCN SSC Vulture Specialist Group are planning to hold a side-event at CMS COP12 on Conserving African-Eurasian Vulture for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services: the Role of the Multi-species Action Plan (working title), to which all interested participants will be invited, especially government representatives from the 128 Vulture MsAP Range States (thus, for those who are planning to attend COP12 and would like to support this side-event, please contact CU Raptors MoU).
The Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BirdLife Bulgaria) significantly contributed to the development of the Vulture MsAP through its active participation in the Regional and Overarching workshops, and together with the partners under the LIFE+ project “The Return of the Neophron” (LIFE10 NAT/BG/000152) by developing of the Flyway Action Plan for the Conservation of the Balkan and Central Asian Populations of the Egyptian Vulture (EVFAP) is an integral part and annexed in full to the Vulture MsAP.
