The October issue of the magazine "BBC Knowledge" presents an article about the life of the Egyptian vulture. This article introduces readers to facts about cultural values, myths and legends associated with the species; the worrying trend of the population of the Balkans; the dangers in its breading sites and migration roads. The conservation activities within the LIFE + project “The Return of the Neophron”, funded by the LIFE+ programme of the European Commission and the "A. G. Leventis" foundation are also presented in the magazine.

The material reveals interesting aspects of the biology and the ecology of the species, and amazing stories for Egyptian vultures.
