Although it is a migratory bird and is already in Africa, Egyptian vulture was the protagonist of the  European Birdwatch Days in Provadiia and Ruse.

On 4th of October at High school of agriculture "Earth" – Provadija (Bulgaria), 50 students enjoyed the movie "Flying away". The film is about the rare birds of Bulgaria. One of the five parts of the film is dedicated to the Egyptian vulture. After the end of the film, in the school yard, the children watched birds with binoculars and telescope.

On October 7, at the school "Vasil Levski " - Ruse were presented interesting facts about bird migration, the difficulties in their way , and the role of this biological phenomenon for the survival of the species. The presentation focused on the only migratory species between the vultures - Egyptian vulture. Its most northern point of the habitat in Europe, is located in the Nature Park "Ruse Lom". In the second part of the event the students drew up birds from waste materials. Inspired by nature and autumn migration, the students carefully selected materials and worked handmade colorful birds.

The events were organized within the project LIFE + "The Return of the Neophron”.
