Newborn baby Egyptian vulture in the nest with the video camera

The baby Egyptian vulture which is difficult to distinguish from the wool in the nest

After 42 days of incubation, the tireless Egyptian vultures from the pair with the online video camera in the nest, installed under the LIFE+ project ‘The Return of the Neophron”, finally saw their hatchling. The baby vulture came to the world today and their parents look more than happy. The baby vulture is so small yet, that it is difficult to distinguish from the wool in the nest. You could follow how the baby vulture is growing through our website.  The same nest is under permanent care of local stakeholders and supporters, people carrying a lot of love to the nature in their hearths, who systematically provide Egyptian vultures with save food and prevent them from disturbance.

We hope many more hatchlings to appear in the Egyptian vulture’s nest, to grow up rapidly and in autumn to start their migration to the wintering grounds without problems.

The happy parrents
