On 15th of March, WWF staff presented the biology and the population status of Egyptian vulture in the Forest Service of Iasmos responsible for the guarding of Kompsatos valley (SPA GR1130012) where two nesting sites of the species occur. One forestry technologist and 5 guards of Forest Service and Hunting Association attended the presentation. They were impressed by the distant migratory journeys of the species and the fact that young migrate separately from their parents. We refreshed an appointment with them for a visit of the Thracian Meteora when the vultures arrive.
